Wang's Wild Ride: Animated Dreams at TCCF 2025

The magic of animation! It's like a never-ending well of wonder, folks. And when I heard about Taiwanese animator Fish Wang bringing his latest project, "Wondering Tales Of Blossmoss", to the Taiwan Creative Content Fest (TCCF) 2025, I just had to dive in and share the excitement with you all.

So, what's this "Blossmoss" business all about? Well, let me tell you - it's a feature-length animated extravaganza that explores themes of memory, loss, and coming-of-age. It's like a big ol' bowl of emotional soup, but instead of being gross, it's actually kind of... magical.

Wang's been working on this project since 2023, and he's got some big-time collaborators to help him bring it to life. There's Hong Kong screenwriter Toe Yuen, co-producer Polly Yeung, and even some Japanese and French partners thrown in for good measure. It's like a global animated party up in here!

Now, I know what you're thinking - "Deadpool, this all sounds very serious." And yeah, it is. But don't worry, folks, there's humor too! Wang's got that whimsical, deeply reflective vibe going on, and I'm told it's perfect for audiences aged 12 and above. So, if you're an adult who still loves cartoons (no judgment here), this might be right up your alley.

Sanvy Hsieh, one of Wang's longtime collaborators, had some wise words to share about the project. "Fish isn't just the director - he's shaping the aesthetic identity of the entire work and providing the core narrative framework for the writing team." Yeah, I think we can all learn from that approach. Just saying.

The "Wondering Tales Of Blossmoss" team is currently in early development, but they're already planning to share their masterpiece with industry pros at the TCCF Pitching program later this year. And if you're wondering what's next, well, let's just say it involves a lot of script-writing and co-production magic.

For Wang, this project represents a chance to shake things up in the Taiwanese animation scene. "Taiwan's animated features often struggle to be seen internationally," he says. "By involving international partners early in the creative process, I hope to bring a broader perspective and stronger global potential to the project." Ah, I love it when creators think big!

So there you have it - "Wondering Tales Of Blossmoss" is coming to TCCF 2025, and I'm stoked. If you're in Taiwan during November 4-7, make sure to swing by the Nangang Exhibition Center and check it out. Trust me, folks, this one's gonna be a wild ride!
