US President Donald Trump says 'we are not finished at all' with Iran, warns of more strikes
President Trump indicated the United States is not finished with Iran. He warned of soon targeting the underground nuclear facility known as Pickaxe Mountain. The US President stated that Iran would take decades to rebuild from damage. Iran expanded its attacks across the Middle East on Tuesday, with strikes reported in Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain, two weeks after the conflict between the United States and Iran resumed.
Speaking to reporters during a White House meeting with Lebanese President Joseph Aoun, Trump said the site could be the next target of US military action. "We'll be hitting that area pretty soon, and very heavily," Trump said, adding that he would not normally announce targets but "there's not a thing they can do about it."
Pickaxe Mountain is a deeply buried nuclear site near Natanz where Western intelligence believes Iran is building an undeclared uranium enrichment facility.
Trump also said the damage caused by the ongoing conflict would take Iran decades to recover from. "If we left right now, it would take Iran 20, 25 years to rebuild. Okay, and we're not finished at all...we're not leaving right now."
His remarks came as Iran expanded its attacks across the Middle East on Tuesday, with strikes reported in Jordan, Kuwait and Bahrain, two weeks after the conflict between the United States and Iran resumed.
The conflict resumed two weeks ago after previous engagements. Last week, US President Donald Trump warned Houthis over Saudi port blockade threat.
